Well... now it doesn't start. I am out of town and haven't had time to look at it but here's what I know:

Rewired the battery > starter > jump-post with the Stage II install.

Months later it wouldn't start on occasion unless I jerked the transmission a little. (turn key, nothing > get out push the car a couple inches in gear > then starts)

Then recently it wouldn't start at all. I removed my quick-disconnect to the battery and it started again. It was corroded or loose or something.

Lately, after sitting for a month, it's back to no starting. I assumed it was the battery, so I put a charger on it overnight and nothing--no clicks, no attempt to start (except for fuel pump sounds). So I used my push technique and it started one time, but quickly died due to sitting too long + weak start. Ever since that start it has never started on its own again.

New battery installed; nothing. Banged on the starter with a hammer a little too.

Push start works. Accessory power is fine. I think I had to put a non-DeLorean alternator in, but I matched it. It just had slightly different mounts.

I'm guessing bad wiring or 30 year old starter. Any ideas?

Thanks

I am going to tell you about something that happen to me after buying some parts for my DeLorean. I bought some parts from a person that sells after-market parts for the DeLorean. I will not say who, but I am going to tell you were he's from; Texas, and it's not DMC Texas and his initials are J H. I bought an exhaust system from this person and when I received it, I inspected it. The exhaust system wasn't what was portrayed in the picture. He showed 2 mufflers in his picture and when I received them, they were cut off on one end and a piece of pipe was shoved into the muffler and 3 small tac welds were used to hold the pipe to the muffler. NO finish welding. I took the muffler and shined it up to the light and all you could see was light where the pipe met the muffler. If I would have put this junk in my car it would've leaked. I took it to a friend who is a professional welder and he laughed when he saw the lack of quality in the welds. I also bought an O2 Censor, not the most expensive one he had, however; upon inpection I noticed he only added a length of wire and a butt style connector at the end. If you know anything about electricity, you'll know that it would drastically change the resistence in that circuit. I emailed this guy back about the evident problems, and I received a response as follows: "It's good to be #1 at something!" I emailed him again and explained that I would be returning the parts and requested my money back along with the shipping and handling refunded. I sent back the parts and after 3 weeks I called him and he stated he only wanted to correspond via email. Therefore, I sent him an email. I recieved no response for another week. I called again and no response. Finally, after another week he sent me an email and stated the money had been returned. I checked my email and the total he was returning was 75% of the initial payment less the shipping and handling. I emailed him inquiring about the difference and he stated that there is a 25% restocking fee. I checked his website and there was nothing stated regarding a restocking fee. Please use caution when purchasing from this person and know now that you have been warned by someone who was burned.:mad::mad::mad:
